In parallel with the training of adults, RTU in cooperation with municipal company Valmieras ūdens has started the development of a digital tour of the drinking water treatment plant and the wastewater treatment plant.
Material preparation started with filming of different treatment steps in the treatment plant with a 360-degree camera by experts from RTU Māris Kalinka and Jānis Rubulis. Thanks also to Gatis Everts and Lauris Rambols from Valmiera ūdens for their time on the day of filming. And thanks to our Industry experts Jānis Zviedris from CLEANTECH Latvia cluster and Māris Stūre fom Jelgava ūdens for valuable suggestions during the early discussion stage of the material development process.
This material in the future will be used in an education program developed for Vidzemes Technology and Design Vocational School.
