Friday, January 22 four students Water & Environment of MBO Life Sciences presented the result of their project ‘Doorstromingsproject Westeinde’ to Wetterskip Fryslân, a Dutch waterboard located in Leeuwarden. They worked for twenty weeks on this project, in which they had to think ‘in the spirit of the Environment Act’. This did not result in a report, but in a reportage in which the situation and interviews with all people involved were shown.

Watch the report here (in Dutch):

Wetterskip Fryslân was very enthusiastic: ‘You couldn’t have made the do’s and don’ts clearer and more catchy’ was one of the comments. The students have learned a lot and received the assessment ‘very good’ for their project. We look back on a successful pilot. This project is the start of more projects with Wetterskip Fryslân and MBO Life Sciences ‘in the spirit of the Environment Act’.
